Qualcomm has introduced the world`s first and fastest Wi-Fi 7 solution
Qualcomm has introduced the FastConnect
7800, the world`s first and fastest Wi-Fi 7 chip. With a transfer rate of 5.8
GB per second, this chip combines technologies such as Bluetooth 5.3.
After MediaTek introduced the first
Wi-Fi 7 technology, Qualcomm also introduced the world`s first commercial Wi-Fi
7 chip. The FastConnect 7800 chip is based on "multi-connection"
technology. The new chip, which uses 320 Mhz channels at 5 Ghz and 240 Mhz at 6
Ghz, can provide very high transmission speeds. With Qualcomm 4-Stream DBS
technology, both phones and other devices can use a 2x2 connection at the same
time. Thus the delay values are very low. The new chip, which can provide 5.8
Gbps internet speed at 6 GHz on the document, allows 30-50% energy savings. The
FastConnect 7800 chip also combines technologies such as Bluetooth 5.3, ANT +,
Bluetooth LE Audio.
It is unknown when the new chip will be
used in smartphones. However, there are currently no modems in the Internet
ecosystem that support Wi-Fi 7 technology. These modems are not expected to go
on sale until 2024.
