Increasing proportion of people switching from Android to iPhone

According to the analysis company CIRP (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners), Android users continue to switch to Apple smartphones en masse. A recent study revealed that there has been a significant increase in the number of users switching from Android to iOS over the past five years.

15% of new iPhone owners surveyed said their previous smartphone was an Android device. For comparison, let us state that this rate was 11% in the previous year and 10% in the previous year. Published data show that the level of 15% was reached in 2018 as well.

Highest pass in the last 9 years in 2016

In previous years, we see that the rate of transition from Android to iOS has been higher. It is noteworthy that the highest level of 21% was reached in 2016. This is recorded as the highest pass in the last nine years.

The research in question covers the one-year period ending in March 2023. Considering this, we can attribute the significant increase in platform change to the success of the iPhone 14 series. The new iPhone series, which attracted the attention of many users, seems to have played an important role in the decision to switch from Android to iOS.
