Xiaomi`s gamer-focused sub-brand Black Shark will be sold. The Black Shark brand, which launched its first gamer smartphone in 2018, will be acquired by the famous Chinese gaming company Tencent.

The Black Shark brand, co-founded by Tencent and Xiaomi, will now be wholly owned by Tencent. The main reason for the company to buy this brand is the world of Metaverse. Black Shark brand will produce devices for virtual reality, and Tencent will develop part of the software. On the other hand, the future of Black Shark smartphone models is still in question.
