MediaTek became the largest chip supplier in US: Qualcomm is losing market share

 MediaTek has become the largest chip supplier in the United States, surpassing its rival Qualcomm. Introducing the Dimensity 8000 processor at the MWC 2022 conference, the company has significantly increased its market share.

 MediaTek, which has increased its market share with Dimensity chips, has become the largest chip supplier in the United States. Qualcomm fell behind in the market. According to IDC, MediaTek is the leader in sales of Android smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2021. According to statistics, the company has reached a market share of 48.1%. Its rival Qualcomm has a market share of 43.9%. IDC says that the reason for MediaTek`s success is the high sales of  Galaxy A32 and T-Mobile smartphones. Thus, the company, which is a leader in entry and mid-range smartphones, presented at the MWC 2022 conference Dimensity 8000 processors manufactured by TSMC using the 5-nanometer method. Along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, Dimensity 8000 processor in performance, Mediatek`s market share is expected to increase further.
