Apple aims to make very serious changes
to the iPhone 14 series, which will be introduced this year. One of them will
be on the processor side of smartphones.
Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said
that the iPhone 14 series, which will be introduced later this year, will have
significant differences between the models in terms of power. The analyst, who
shared the information on Twitter, wrote that Apple`s A16 Bionic processors
will be used only in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. The standard iPhone
14 and iPhone 14 Max will use the A15 Bionic processor used in last year`s
iPhone 13 series. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will also use 6 GB of RAM
instead of 4 GB. IPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models will use LPDDR5 when these
frames use LPDDR4X technology. Looking at all this, it seems that Apple, along
with the iPhone 14 series, will place the Pro and Pro Max models in a different
segment in terms of performance. Another piece of information is that Apple
will not release the iPhone 14 Mini this year. In other words, only 4 new
iPhone models will be shown during the presentation.
Another change that Apple will
make in the iPhone 14 series is the satellite network. According to sources,
the company has already begun some tests at the prototype level. Thus, the new
iPhone models will be able to connect via Wi-Fi and the Operator network via
satellite. This technology was one of Steve Jobs` dreams. Following in the
footsteps of this dream, Tim Cook assembled a special team in 2019 and started
a new project code-named Stewei. And now this project has reached the stage of
testing at the prototype level. Sources also say that this technology will be
available only on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. IPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max
models using Apple A15 Bionic processor will not be able to use this
technology.
