WhatsApp’s New Feature to Boost Channel Subscriptions

WhatsApp has started testing a QR code-based feature aimed at increasing channel subscriptions. This update is designed to make discovering and joining channels much easier for users.

With this new feature, WhatsApp users can generate QR codes for their channels and share them across various platforms. By simply scanning the QR code, users can directly join channels without needing to copy and paste links.

Channel owners will need to open their channels and navigate to sharing options to generate a unique QR code. Once created, the QR code can be shared in multiple formats, including digital messages, business cards, posters, and even product packaging.

This innovation simplifies the promotion of channels both digitally and physically. By sharing a simple QR code, channel owners can attract a larger audience. Currently, this feature is being tested on the WhatsApp Android beta version.
