Instagram is preparing to bring back a feature that will give old internet users nostalgia: adding music to the profile page. The feature was discovered by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi. In the past years, when you entered someone's profile on social networks like Hi5 or MySpace, you could hear music playing in the background. This was common on this type of platform as a way to personalize content. It looks like Instagram is planning to bring this idea to their profile pages. Judging by the published screenshots, users will be able to add songs from the "Edit Profile" menu on Instagram. There aren't many details on the subject for now.

The new feature appears to be in testing. It is also unclear when it will be available to all users. From time to time, we witness that Instagram tries new features. As a result, even if not all of them reach users, the platform is constantly making such experiments.
