WhatsApp will soon offer QR code option for chat transfer. It will be enough for users to scan the QR code on the screen to move WhatsApp chats to Android. This means that the Google Drive backup needed to transfer WhatsApp messages to a new device will no longer be needed. The chat transfer feature with QR code will make the transition process easier and faster. The feature seen in WhatsApp 2.23.1.26 and 2.23.1.27 beta versions is very simple to use. With the download of WhatsApp to the new Android device, the chat migration process begins. It will be enough to scan the QR code on the old phone to which the messages will be transferred, on the new phone.

Coming soon to WhatsApp, this feature will not only simplify the chat transfer process, but will be significantly faster compared to the current process as, in general, data transfer over the network is much faster than uploading from the cloud service. It's unclear when the feature will be available. WhatsApp introduced the feature that made it much easier to switch between platforms in June 2022.
