TrendForce reported that Apple Vision Pro, which was recently introduced at this year's WWDC, is set to revolutionize the AR/VR market with its stylish design and high performance features. However, the complexity behind its production and limited production capacity create significant challenges. The market analysis firm shared the sales forecast of Vision Pro according to these parameters.

Initial sales forecast for Apple Vision Pro

Complex and complex production process, use of new generation technologies and limited production capacity are among the main challenges of Apple Vision Pro. Due to these parameters, it was already announced that the device will go on sale in the first quarter of 2024. Based on available information, TrendForce predicts a modest shipment volume of around 200,000 units for the Apple Vision Pro in 2024.

“The market response will largely depend on the subsequent introduction of consumer-focused Apple Vision models and Apple's ability to offer attractive everyday functions that will fuel the rapid growth of the AR market as a whole,” TrendForce says. The addition of "Pro" in the introduced Vision Pro may actually indicate that there may be basic and cheaper models.

TrendForce also states that the Apple Vision Pro has cutting-edge hardware features and innovative design. However, a high price tag of $3,499 and the need for an external power supply to run for only two hours pose challenges to consumer adoption.
