Samsung brings AI to smartwatches

Samsung will offer AI-based features in all its wearable devices, especially its smartwatches. The company aims to follow the trend that started with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung announced through a press release that it will include artificial intelligence-based features in its smartwatches and other wearable devices. As you may remember, the company introduced the Galaxy AI platform with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung is adapting Galaxy AI functions to work on the Galaxy Watch smartwatch and Galaxy Fit wristband. The South Korean company also has plans to integrate these features into the Galaxy Ring smart ring.

Samsung's senior executive TM Roh stated that Galaxy wearables will be equipped with artificial intelligence in the near future and that this technology will be used to improve digital health solutions and significantly enhance smart health management capabilities.

This is just the beginning
In addition to all this, it is also stated that the current version of Galaxy AI is "just the beginning" and that the company has many ideas and concepts that have not yet been realized.

Roh also pointed out that AI is still an emerging field and that there are various controversies, especially on privacy and intellectual property issues. For this reason, he said, Samsung is taking a "cautious" approach, focusing only on areas where user safety can be firmly guaranteed.
