WhatsApp will no longer support some older phone models as of 1 September 2024. If you have one of the phones on the list, you may need to look for alternative solutions.

The list of phones whose WhatsApp support will be cut continues to be updated. As of 1 September 2024, WhatsApp will end support for older models of Samsung, Huawei, LG, Sony and Lenovo. Devices on this list will no longer receive new updates of WhatsApp.

New ones are added to phones that will not receive update support

Phone models that do not support WhatsApp are generally among the old model devices that no longer receive software updates. Such devices cannot benefit from new updates because they are hardware outdated. For this reason, not only WhatsApp but even Google itself terminates its support after a while.
