Microsoft is bringing innovation to the world of technology with its new mini computer, Windows 365 Link. This device, which stands out with its compact design, looks similar to the M4 Mac mini in appearance, but it differs in functionality and usability. This mini computer differs from the Mac mini not only in its physical structure, but also in its operating principle.
Windows 365 Link is designed as a compact, fanless, and user-friendly cloud PC. It’s intended to serve as a complementary part of Microsoft’s Windows 365 service, which enables businesses to securely transition their employees to cloud-based virtual machines. Built with security in mind, all data is encrypted in the cloud, with nothing stored offline that could be stolen or hacked.
This mini computer powers on within seconds and wakes instantly from sleep mode. While full technical details haven’t been disclosed, it’s known to come with an Intel processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage. The back of the cloud computer has two USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 3.2 port, a DisplayPort, an HDMI port, and Ethernet connectivity. There is also a single USB-A 3.2 port on the front. It supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The mini PC, specifically developed for Windows 365 cloud service, will be available next year at a price of $349. However, a Windows 365 subscription starting at $28 per month will also be required.
