iPhone users can now access Google’s AI faster than ever: Google has launched the Gemini AI app for iOS devices, and Gemini Live is also available.
Google has introduced a standalone Gemini AI app for iPhone users. Unlike the Google app, Gemini is designed specifically for iOS and includes Gemini Live support and Dynamic Island integration, providing enhanced features.
The Gemini app enables iPhone users to interact with Google's AI using text or voice queries and includes support for Gemini Extensions. Gemini Live, which is not available in the Google app, also features here. When entering a chat, Gemini Live appears on both the dynamic island and the lock screen, allowing interaction with AI without returning to the app.
Google offers the Gemini app for free, but Gemini Advanced requires a subscription for a more sophisticated AIexperience. Gemini Advanced costs $30 per month and is part of the Google One AI Premium 2 TB plan.
Previously, iOS users could only access Gemini through a dedicated tab in the Google app, offering a more limited experience compared to the Android version.
