Apple, which has entered the display market again with the Pro Display XDR and Studio Display monitors that it has launched in recent years, seems to continue to invest in this market. According to a source close to the company, Apple has already started work on the next-generation Studio Display.
It will be mini-LED and 120Hz
Famous analyst Ross Young recently stated that Apple is not working on a second-generation Studio Display, but Ming-Chi Kuo denied this claim and shared some details about the company's next-generation monitor.
According to information from Kuo, Apple's new generation 27-inch monitor will use mini-LED technology, and the rear panel of the device will be glass instead of plastic. Kuo also stated that with the company's use of glass on the back panel, the device will be thinner and have smaller bezels. The monitor, which will probably also feature 120Hz ProMotion, will go into mass production at the end of 2024 or early 2025, according to Kuo's claims. This means that the second-generation Studio Display will likely be available in 2025.
