Apple will consider more battery in iPhone 15!

Working with high-end Apple products, namely the iPhone 15 series and a new M2 Pro chip, which will be released in 2023, Macs will be produced with TSMC's new 3nm technology. However, incoming reports show that Apple will focus on battery life rather than performance in the A17 Bionic processor, which will be used in the iPhone 15. In the news shared by Bloomberg earlier today, it was stated that the 3nm process is more performance and 35 percent more efficient than chips produced in 5nm. The source of this data is directly at the top of TSMC, Mark Liu. TSMC states that chips and processors produced with the 3nm process will gain performance gains, but the main emphasis is constantly on energy efficiency.

Apple may lag behind the competition

Therefore, there will be no major performance increases in the transition from the A16 Bionic processor used in the iPhone 14 Pro models and produced in the 4nm process (TSMC calls it advanced 5nm) to the A17 Bionic, and the improvement will be experienced on the battery life side. However, these details do not mean that Apple will use the entire volume of 35 percent energy efficiency in the battery life part. By sacrificing some efficiency, Apple can increase the performance of the A17 Bionic processor and offer more performance at the same power consumption as the A16 Bionic.
