AnTuTu has unveiled the latest performance rankings for Apple iOS devices. How did the iPhone and iPad models perform in this race? Let’s take a look at the full list.
The popular benchmarking platform AnTuTu has released the performance rankings for Apple iOS devices, which includes both iPad and iPhone models. In the past years, the fastest iOS devices belonged to the iPhone family, but with the introduction of M1 and M2 chip iPads, things have changed. According to AnTuTu, the most powerful iOS device is the iPad Pro 11 2024 with 2,520,869 points, thanks to its Apple M4 chip. It is followed by the 13-inch iPad Pro 13 with 2,498,993 points and the M2-powered iPad Pro 12.9-inch with 2,068,062 points.
The iPad models dominate the top five, with the M2-powered iPad Air 13 (1,952,706 points) and the iPad Pro 4 (1,929,732 points). In the last two spots, we find the A18-powered iPhone 16 Pro Max (1,669,791 points) and iPhone 16 Pro (1,665,128 points). There’s nearly a twofold difference between the M4 and the A18 chips.
Interestingly, neither the iPhone 16 nor the iPhone 16 Plus appears in the list. Similarly, the iPhone 15 Pro models were not included either, but this is not surprising. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature a downgraded version of the A18 chip compared to their predecessors.
Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset found in Android devices has an average AnTuTu score of 2,082,175, putting it in direct competition with Apple’s M2 chip.
