iPhone 17 Air is coming

iPhone 17 Air is coming

Apple may be making an important change of plan after the iPhone 16 series. It is stated that the "Plus" series will be abandoned in the iPhone 17 series.

Apple may change the plan in the mainstream iPhone series after the iPhone 16 series to be introduced in September. So much so that the company has been working on the "Slim" model for a while, and the fate of this model has finally become clear. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared details about the iPhone 17 "Air" in the latest issue of the Power On newsletter.

Plans have changed at Apple

For those who missed it, in previous iPhone 17 Slim rumours, it was said that Apple would reduce the difference between Pro and non-Pro models. Mark Gurman confirmed the new iPhone in his latest report and stated that the model will be launched as iPhone 17 "Air". This makes sense for Apple given the design and form factor.

Performance will be in the second plan

According to Gurman, iPhone 17 Air will appeal to users who care more about appearance than performance. The features of the phone are not clear for the moment. However, it is certain that we will encounter a cropped version due to its ultra-thin design. What is known for now includes a 6.6-inch screen, a standard A19 chip instead of the A19 Pro chip, a single rear camera and an Apple-designed 5G processor

If you want something flashier than a standard iPhone, but don't really need the performance, screen size or cameras of the Pro model, you can get something that looks a lot cooler while still having the features of a standard iPhone.

iPhone Air is likely to bring meaningful growth to the iPhone lineup. This is because "mini" and "Plus" sales have fallen short of expectations. Likewise, the Plus model currently accounts for only 5 to 10 per cent of total new iPhone shipments. Therefore, if the iPhone 17 "Air" is successful, Apple may move the design of the device to its main line, including standard and "Pro" models.

So what do you think about these developments? Do you think users would prefer an iPhone that looks better than performance? don't forget to share with us.
