Google has expanded its policy to remove users' personal information from search results. It was possible to send requests to remove data (bank account numbers, ID pictures, handwritten signatures and the like) that was previously only used for financial fraud. Now, the company will also remove personal contact information upon request.
Now, on the page created specifically for these requests, users can request Google to remove their physical address, phone number or e-mail address from search results. For this, you will need to provide links to sources that distribute your personal information. Every request to remove information sent to Google is reviewed by moderators to see if it limits the availability of useful information. The company has already stated that it will not remove contact information posted on government websites or official sources. It is stated that such requests will be completed in a few days on average.
