The video of the world`s first monitor
with 500 Hz, developed by BOE Technology, has been leaked to the Internet. This
monitor is thought to use a TFT panel. It has not been officially presented
yet.
BOE Technology, one of the world`s
largest manufacturers of LCD, OLED and curved screens, looks set to
revolutionize the monitor market in the near future. According to leaked
information, the company is working on a new monitor with 500 Hz refresh rate.
Currently, even the best monitors in the monitor ecosystem use a maximum
refresh rate of 360 Hz. According to the leaked video, BOE will exceed this
limit with a 27-inch monitor. However, another important point is that this
monitor does not use an OLED panel. Note that this prototype monitor can create
a new image once every 2 milliseconds. This parametr is 1 time in 2.78
milliseconds on 360 Hz monitors and 1 time in 4.17 milliseconds on 240 Hz
monitors. These values are 1 time in 16.7 milliseconds on standard 60 Hz
monitors and 1 time in 6.95 milliseconds on 144 Hz monitors. In other words, a
monitor with 500 Hz can display a much more smooth than others.
BOE Technology`s new monitor can currently support 500 Hz only at 1080P quality. In fact, this is not very surprising. Because even the best monitors can still use 360 Hz support only in 1080P quality. Many users were quite surprised after the leaked video. In the coming years, we can see very serious innovations in the monitor ecosystem.
