Microsoft has announced when Windows 11 will support Android apps

    Panos Panay, Microsoft`s Chief Product Officer, shared a blog post about the first major update to Windows 11. Stating that the process will take place sooner than planned, Panos Panay said that a preview version of the update will be released next month.

    Unexpectedly introduced in mid-2021, Windows 11 began to be available to all users in October. A major update package for the operating system, which is already used by millions of users, has not yet been released. But now the information about this update package has been shared. So, according to the new decision of Microsoft, it will release only one major update package for Windows 11 during the year. Note that previously it was done twice during year for Windows 10 operating system.

    Panos Panay said that starting next month, users will be able to use Android applications in Windows 11. However, this update will still be available to users of the Insider version.  Microsoft Store app will be used to download Android applications. Users will also be able to download and use applications from other sources in .apk format. Along with this update package, updated Media Player and Notepad programs will also be available. In addition, many system bugs will be resolved and some new features will come. This update package is scheduled to be released globally to all users in May-June. Thus, Microsoft will release the first major update package for Windows 11.
