Panos Panay,
Microsoft`s Chief Product Officer, shared a blog post about the first major
update to Windows 11. Stating that the process will take place sooner than
planned, Panos Panay said that a preview version of the update will be released
next month.
Unexpectedly
introduced in mid-2021, Windows 11 began to be available to all users in
October. A major update package for the operating system, which is already used
by millions of users, has not yet been released. But now the information about
this update package has been shared. So, according to the new decision of
Microsoft, it will release only one major update package for Windows 11 during
the year. Note that previously it was done twice during year for Windows 10
operating system.
Panos Panay
said that starting next month, users will be able to use Android applications
in Windows 11. However, this update will still be available to users of the
Insider version. Microsoft Store app will be used to download Android
applications. Users will also be able to download and use applications from
other sources in .apk format. Along with this update package, updated Media
Player and Notepad programs will also be available. In addition, many system
bugs will be resolved and some new features will come. This update package is
scheduled to be released globally to all users in May-June. Thus, Microsoft
will release the first major update package for Windows 11.
