Twitter ends support for iPhone 6

Twitter ends support for iPhone 6

The popular social media platform Twitter has stopped working on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s series with the newly released update. Twitter now requires iOS 14 and above. Introduced in 2014, the iPhone 6 series has made users happy by receiving updates for many years. The iPhone 6, which was updated to iOS 12, lost its support with the new Twitter update.

iPhone 6 and 5s users will no longer be able to use Twitter. Twitter ended support for iOS 12 in early 2021, but iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s users could easily use the old Twitter application to social media. However, with the latest update released by Twitter, iOS 13 support was also dropped, and according to reports, iPhone 6 users can no longer use Twitter. Although some users state that they can see some tweets, the application has become unusable in general. According to Apple, only 7% of iPhones run on versions prior to iOS 14, so Twitter ending support won't affect most users.
If your iPhone is running on a version prior to iOS 14, you need to update it to continue using Twitter. Fortunately, all iPhones that support iOS 13 have received the iOS 15 update. Users with versions prior to iOS 14 will now have to use Twitter via the browser.
