The performance results of the Exynos
2200 processor to be used in Samsung`s new Galaxy S22 smartphone series have
been announced. In graphics tests, the Exynos 2200 passed the Synapdragon 8 Gen
1.
In recent years, Samsung has announced a
partnership with AMD. This news made users very happy. However, according to
the rumors in recent days, the Exynos 2200, developed in cooperation with AMD
and Samsung, does not give very good results. For this reason, many users were
considering giving up the Galaxy S22 smartphone series. However, these reports
have been proven to be false by published Geekbench tests.
The Exynos 2200 processor with AMD`s
Xclipse chipset performed well in Geekbench tests. In the OpenCL graphics test,
the Exynos 2200 processor scored 9143 points. Its rival Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
scored 6050 points in this test. So the Exynos 2200 processor can be 50.7% more
powerful. Another test, in Vulcan, scored 25% higher. It should be noted that
such high results surprised many users. While it lags behind Apple`s Bionic A15
processor, Exynos 2200 may well be the most powerful processor in the Android
ecosystem.
In addition, Qualcomm has been having
problems with its processors for a while. Overheating and high power
consumption make Snapdragon processors look ugly. If the Samsung Galaxy S22
with the Eyxnos 2200 satisfies users, things could get even tougher for
Qualcomm.
