Samsung CEO apologizes for slowed down smartphones

Samsung CEO Jong-Hee Han has apologized for deliberately slowing down smartphones. Samsung, which has faced many scandals since the beginning of 2022, was last criticized for the GOS problem.

In recent weeks, Samsung has reportedly slowed down the use of the Galaxy S22 smartphone with the GOS (Game Optimizing Service) service. This news caused a lot of noise in the media. For this reason, users have strongly criticized Samsung. At a meeting with the company`s shareholders, Samsung CEO Jong-Hee Han apologized and said he would listen carefully to users to prevent this from happening again.

According to reports, the GOS service affects more than 10,000 applications and games. Samsung claims that the GOS service is used to extend the life of the smartphone and save battery life. However, it turned out that the GOS service is not activated in benchmark performance applications. In other words, smartphones show higher results because this process is not applied in performance tests. This also means to deceive users. Samsung has now released an update that deactivates the GOS service for the Galaxy S22 smartphones. It is expected that the company will release this update for older smartphone models
