Meta has introduced the world`s fastest supercomputer: AI Research SuperCluster
The company, formerly known as Facebook
and now renamed Meta, has introduced the world`s fastest supercomputer. The new
supercomputer, called AI Research SuperCluster, will be launched at full
capacity from 2022.
AI Research SuperCluster (RSC)
supercomputer will be the fastest in the world, according to Meta, and is
specifically designed for technologies such as artificial intelligence, deep
learning, and machine learning. This information was announced by Mark
Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. According to Zuckerberg, the new supercomputer will be
fully operational this year. Meta will also provide optimization of the
Instagram algorithm with RSC and development of projects for Metaverse.
The capacity of the RSC supercomputer
currently consists of 760 Nvidia GGX A100 processors connected to 6080 GPU.
This is especially effective in machine learning technology. By the end of
2022, this supercomputer will have 16,000 GPU. Note that Microsoft`s
supercomputer has 10,000 GPU. This shows that Meta`s supercomputer will be more
powerful. Thus, Meta`s social media networks will be supported by better
algorithms and users will be shown posts according to their interests.
