Taiwanese company MediaTek is taking
healthy steps in the mobile processor ecosystem. The company today introduced
the Kompanio 1380 processor, which was presented at the CES 2022 conference.
Interestingly, this mobile processor is designed for use in thin notebooks
called Ultrabook.
The Kompanio 1380 processor, which can also be used in Chromebooks, has 4 Cortex-A78 and 4 Cortex-A55 cores. This chipset also uses a 5-core Mali-G57 video graphics chipset. The 6 nm Kompanio 1380 processor can reach to 3 GHz. In addition, MediaTek APU 3.0 promises 4 TOPS artificial intelligence performance.Supporting technologies such as 4K 60 HZ HDR display, AV1 codec, 7.1 surround sound, LPDDR4X ram, Wi-Fi 6 / 6E and Bluetooth 5.0, this processor has gained a lot of popularity. The MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor will be used for the first time in the Asus Chromebook Spin 513 laptop.
