Intel`s 13th generation Raptor Lake processors will be more powerful

Intel`s new 13th generation Raptor Lake processors will have more cores. Also, the new series of processors will be more powerful than the previous generation. Intel, which held a presentation for investors, shared some information.

AMD`s increased competition with Ryzen processors on both laptops and desktops has made Intel more difficult. With both rising market share and less hot processors, AMD has become a favorite of many users. On top of that, Intel has also accelerated improvements. The company, which had good performance with the 12th generation, is now working on the 13th generation Raptor Lake processors. At a presentation for the company`s investors, Intel revealed some information about the new processor family.

The Raptor Lake processors, which will be available in 7 nm sizes, will have a hybrid architecture of the 12th generation. The new processors will increase the number of cores to 24 and the number of threads to 32. Intel claims that the difference in performance growth over the previous generation will be in double digits. In addition, Raptor Lake processors will have improved overclock functions. That is, users will be able to achieve better performance by changing the voltage settings of the processor with a proper cooling system. The first Raptor Lake processors will have 8 performance and 16 effective cores. Although the release date of the 13th generation Raptor Lake processors is unknown, it is expected to be available later this year.
