The iPhone SE 4 is on the horizon

As it is known, Apple did not get what it expected from mid and low-end iPhone models such as iPhone SE 3, iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 14 Plus. At this point, leaks that emerged recently claimed that the next generation iPhone SE models were shelved indefinitely. However, the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared new information about the iPhone SE 4 in his post today, showing the opposite of the leaks.

According to Kuo, Apple plans to launch the next-generation iPhone SE 4 in 2024 and will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display built on the iPhone 14 case. Thus, we can say that the new phone will be the first phone with an OLED panel in the iPhone SE series, which has been powered by an LCD panel to date.

In addition, Apple will sign another important decision to reduce the costs of the iPhone SE 4. Accordingly, the new device is expected to be the first iPhone to use Apple's self-developed 5nm 5G chip. Reportedly, this chip will only support Sub6 5G, not the mmWave 5G band, which offers higher speeds. It looks like the tech giant plans to test its chipset first on the cheapest iPhone model.
