iPhone 16 Pro Max can captivate with its camera

Information continues to come from the iPhone 16 series, which is expected to be introduced in September 2024. According to a new report from Asia, the iPhone 16 Pro Max could be the first model to feature a super-telephoto periscope camera that is said to offer significantly increased optical zoom.

Behind these claims is Digital Chat Station, the Weibo account that has provided accurate information about Apple's plans in the past. The 'super' or 'ultra' telephoto label is often used on cameras with focal lengths over 300mm that can provide substantial lossless zoom. Apple's move to a periscope telephoto camera system, starting with the iPhone 15 Pro Max later this year, could be a step in that direction. Along with the iPhone 16 Pro models next year, Apple is reportedly planning to bring the telephoto camera to both "Pro" models. However, according to this new rumor, Super Telephoto will be exclusive to the Pro Max model only. Thus, Apple will have clarified the difference between the two devices. In addition to the Super Telephoto camera, it is reported that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 12 percent larger camera sensor at 1/1.14 inches.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max currently have 1/1.28-inch sensors, and no increase in sensor size is expected for this year's iPhone 15 Pro Max. A larger sensor can increase the dynamic range and background blur of the iPhone's main camera. However, it should be noted that there is a long road ahead for the iPhone 16 series. Let's say that there may be changes in all this information, or that there is a possibility that none of them will happen.
