Apple introduced iOS 18, which is expected to be the biggest update ever for iPhones at the WWDC 2024 event. So, what are iOS 18 features? Here are all the innovations:

Apple introduced iOS 18 and other operating system updates at the WWDC24 event, which started at 20.00 on 10 June 2024 TSI. How will iOS 18 be and what will be iOS 18 innovations, especially the artificial intelligence features coming to iPhones were highly anticipated, but artificial intelligence was not mentioned.

iOS 18 brings customisation on the home screen and lock screen. The latest iOS version offers more options for the home screen and appearance, allowing more customisation. iPhone, until this update, allowed to place application icons in a certain order. The option to create empty spaces, rows and columns between app icons has been added. Incidentally, you can change the colours of application icons. Also, when dark mode is switched on, the icons change accordingly.

The privacy and security feature that iPhone users have been waiting for years came with iOS 18. With the update, you can put a password on application openings, especially Photos and Messages. Application locking has been limited in certain applications until now. App hiding feature was also introduced.

iOS 18 brings customisable layout to Control Centre. Controls can now be rearranged with drag-and-drop. Previously, only the icons at the bottom could be edited and removed, and this could only be done from Settings.  

iOS 18 brings new accessibility features. New accessibility features coming to iPhones were introduced before the WWDC 2024 event. These include AI-powered Eye Tracking, Music Haptics to bring a whole new music experience to people who are deaf or hard of hearing, Vocal Shortcuts to let you assign shortcuts to various phrases that Siri can understand, and Vehicle M to help reduce motion sickness.
