Apple brought a new feature called "Tap to Cash" to iPhones with the iOS 18 update. Users will be able to send money by touching iPhones to each other.

Among the iOS 18 innovations is the "Tap to Cash" feature that allows iPhone users to send money quickly and easily. So, how will this feature be used?

How to use iOS 18 "Tap to Cash" feature?

Tap to Cash allows users to make payments by tapping two iPhones together. Tap to Cash is an extension of Apple's Tap to Pay feature and uses the same NFC functionality. Apple says Tap to Cash protects privacy by allowing users to send money without sharing any personal information.

"As we continue our journey to replace your physical wallet, we're introducing Tap to Cash, a fast and private way to exchange Apple Cash without sharing a phone number or email address," said Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering.

In the previous version of iOS, Apple introduced NameDrop, a way to share contact information by tapping iPhones.
