iOS 18.2.1 is expected to be released soon for iPhones. This small-sized update is primarily aimed at fixing bugs and addressing security vulnerabilities.
After rolling out the final version of iOS 18.2, Apple introduced the iOS 18.3 beta 1 for developers. The first beta of iOS 18.3 brought new Apple Intelligence features like Image Playground, ChatGPT Siri integration, and Genmoji for iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. While the stable version of iOS 18.3 is expected next month, Apple is likely to release the iOS 18.2.1 update beforehand.
iOS 18.2.1 is anticipated to be a minor update aimed at fixing bugs and closing security gaps. Currently, some iPhone 16 Pro users report issues with the camera and screen, apart from the battery problem in iOS 18.2. Whether these problems will be resolved remains to be seen. The update is expected to roll out by the end of December.
Apple plans to continue introducing AI features until the release of iOS 18.4, scheduled for April. For now, Apple Intelligence is available on a limited number of devices and doesn’t support local languages like Azerbaijani. Moreover, Apple Intelligence has influenced the company’s iOS 19 development process, with reports suggesting engineers are not fully focused on iOS 19. Nevertheless, all devices supporting iOS 18 are expected to receive the iOS 19 update.
