iOS 16.4 update released: What`s new?

The wait for iOS 16.4 is over. After weeks of testing, Apple released the iOS 16.4 update for iPhones. The update comes with a few bug fixes as well as some new features. Some of the new features include new emojis, incoming noise isolation for cellular calls, and more.

How to update iOS 16.4?

‌iOS 16‌‌.4 and iPadOS 16.4 can be downloaded over-the-air to eligible iPhones and iPads by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Apple has also released iOS 15.7.4 for iPhone users with older devices, and the update offers security improvements. Among the emojis that came with the iOS 16.4 update, there are new emojis such as shaking head, pink heart, blue heart, gray heart, donkey, deer, black bird, goose, wing, jellyfish, and hyacinth. In total, 21 new emoji have been added to the version. Also included in iOS 16.4 are Safari web notifications for websites added to the Home Screen, Sound Isolation for clearer cell phone calls, page-turning animation in Apple Books, Podcast updates, the new HomeKit architecture, and a host of other minor tweaks and tweaks. In addition, with iOS 16.4, 5G support is also being brought for Türkiye. The new features are as follows:

- 21 new emojis, including animals, gestures and objects

- Notifications for web apps added to Home Screen,

- Sound Isolation for cellular calls. This prioritizes your voice and blocks out ambient noise around you.

- Duplicates album in Photos expands support for detecting duplicate photos and videos in iCloud Shared Photo Library,

- VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app,

- Accessibility setting to automatically dim video when flashes or strobe effects are detected,

- Fixed an issue where purchase requests from children were not appearing on the parent's device,

- Fixed issues that caused Matter-compatible thermostats to become unresponsive when paired with Apple Home.

- Crash Detection optimizations were made on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
