Allegedly, Apple wants to completely
eliminate charging inputs on smartphones. For some time, both users and
regulators have been urging Apple to replace Lightning charging inputs with USB
Type-C inputs. Thus, users will be able to charge their smartphones with any
Type-C cable.
However, Apple has not reacted to these
demands. According to reports on the Internet, there is a reason why Apple has
not reacted. The company wants to completely eliminate charging cables on its
smartphones. So Apple smartphones will simply charge wirelessly. This
technology is expected to be applied to all smartphones in the future, but
Apple wants to implement it sooner. Note that there are some reasons for the
slow development of wireless charging technology. One of them is the limit in
China. Under Chinese law, smartphones cannot use wireless charging technology
over 50W. This is a serious obstacle, given the importance of the Chinese
market for smartphone brands. Wireless charging technologies are also being
tested on 120W charging systems.
It is unknown when Apple will
switch to a completely wireless charging system on smartphones.
