Apple and HP working on foldable laptops

In the smartphone world, foldable models are now slowly being adopted and gaining a significant market share. Now, the same process is happening in the laptop world. More companies are developing foldable laptops today.

While Samsung is in a very advanced position when it comes to foldable phone screens, LG is a little ahead in desktop systems. Last year, Lenovo developed a 13.3-inch foldable display for the Yoga X1 Fold and supplied 20,000 units. This year, we saw the 17-inch foldable screen for the first time at CES 2022. This large screen is allegedly supplied to two major computer giants. It is stated that the panel, which turns into an 11-inch screen when folded, has ordered 10 thousand pieces by HP. Another customer is Apple. It is stated that LG and Apple are working on a special foldable screen and that ultra-thin glass - UTG technology is used instead of polyamide. The screen will be compatible with both touch and stylus. Apple is also known to be working on a 9-inch foldable iPhone. The prototype, which is currently being produced for trial purposes, will be ready in 2025 at the earliest if things go well. Developing a foldable MacBook will likely take much longer. HP could possibly showcase a prototype before the year is out.
