WhatsApp has opened the redesigned navigation bar for its Android application to everyone after a year of testing. The navigation bar now appears at the bottom of the screen instead of at the top for easier access. There are also minor changes.

The navigation bar was previously green in color, with a small tab for "communities, large tabs for chats, status, and calls, and only the communities tab had an icon, the other three did not. The new navigation bar is white and the tabs are equal length. The navigation bar now has a more symmetrical, simpler and more modern design.

The new interface of WhatsApp Android application is available with version 2.24.6.77.
