WhatsApp will soon introduce a new customization feature for iOS. Users will be able to choose from a variety of chat colors and wallpaper options, allowing for a more personalized chat experience.
According to WABetaInfo, this new chat theme feature comes with the WhatsApp iOS 24.20.71 update. Users will be able to change the color of chat bubbles, the area under the text input, and the header area along with the chat wallpaper.
WhatsApp will offer iPhone users 20 chat color options, featuring a variety of popular pastel colors, along with 22 wallpapers that include unique patterns and designs.
Users can either set a default theme that applies to all chats or choose different themes for individual chats, making it easier to differentiate between personal, work, or group chats. Once a theme is selected, WhatsApp will automatically apply the wallpaper based on the chosen color. The applied theme will only be visible on the user’s side and won’t affect the chat display for the other person.
WhatsApp is currently testing these new chat themes with users in the beta program.
