WhatsApp Status messages will be able to be liked

WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow you to like Status messages in the near future. Tests of the like button started in the beta channel. 

WhatsApp, which continues to test new features in beta versions, is preparing to offer another long-awaited feature to users. After blocking unwanted messages, now likes are coming to Status messages.

Like status messages

WhatsApp Status messages offered two interaction options in the form of viewing and replying until today. The new feature introduced to Android 2.24.17.21 version has now added the Like option.

When users view Status messages, a heart-shaped like button will appear. The message owner will be able to find likes in the viewer list similar to Instagram Stories. They can also turn off notifications for likes if they wish. The like feature will allow users to react faster to Status messages. For now, it is not known when this feature will be available.
