What will be the differences between the Samsung Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus?

It is not long before Samsung introduces the Galaxy S23 series. On February 1, we will see the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. There will not be much difference in technical features between the three phones this year. Of course, it is still early for comparison, but on paper, it is possible to compare Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus vs Galaxy S23.

UFS 3.1 storage

The lowest priced model of the series; Samsung Galaxy S23 128GB. The base model will naturally be slower, as the company doesn't make the 128GB version of the UFS 4.0 storage chips for obvious reasons. Users who prefer the flat S23 model have to choose the 256GB model for a faster experience. The S23 Plus base model starts with 256GB. It is known that UFS 3.1 has half the read and write speed compared to UFS 4.0.

WiFi 6E connection

WiFi 7 connectivity will be exclusive to S23+ and S23 Ultra. In other words, the Galaxy S23 will have WiFi 6E. Although both have access to the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz radio frequency bands, in theory, WiFi 7 has 4.8 times more bandwidth than WiFi 6E. Of course, you need a WiFi 7 router to experience WiFi 7 speeds. UWB (Ultra Wideband) technology is also said to be only available on the Galaxy S23 Plus.

25W fast wired charging

By design, the Galaxy S23's display is said to have slightly thicker bezels and a less advanced vibration motor for notifications. In terms of charging, it has 25W fast wired charging instead of the 45W fast charging found on the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Since the S23 is smaller, of course it has a smaller battery (3900 mAh). However, both models support 10W wireless charging, 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

These will be the differences between the S23 and the S23 Plus in general. Apart from that, other features including 120Hz Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display, HDR10+, 1750 nits brightness, 12MP front camera, 50MP main camera, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, Armor aluminum frame will be common. Also, the processor (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor) and memory (8GB LPDDR5X RAM) will be the same.
