Apple has released macOS Sonoma 14.1 update for compatible Macs with iOS 17.1, watchOS 10.1. So, what does the new macOS 14 version bring?
The macOS Sonoma 14.1 update that Mac users have been waiting for has been released. macOS 14.1 includes innovations and fixes such as viewing warranty information for Mac and headphones from system settings, the option to add songs, albums and playlists to favourites in the Apple Music app, fixing bugs related to Location Services and encrypted external drives.
Apple warranty enquiry from system settings
With macOS 14.1, Apple has added a quick way for users to see the warranty status of Mac and connected AirPods, Beats headphones via system settings. Under the System Settings - General - Warranty Coverage menu, the warranty status of the Mac computer and connected Bluetooth headphones such as AirPods Pro and BeatsX can be checked. A shortcut to the support page is also provided.
Additions to Apple Music
For those using the Apple Music app, favourites have been expanded to include songs, albums and playlists. Filtering is also available to see only favourited songs, albums or playlists.
Fixed location services and external disc bugs
In addition, an issue that caused System Services settings in Location Services to be reset has been fixed, as well as an issue that prevented encrypted external drives from connecting.
