Following rumors of the 2025 iPhone 17 Slim, it appears that Samsung is also working on a similar model. The "Galaxy S25 Slim" has appeared in certification listings.
Samsung is preparing to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 models in the coming weeks. However, reports suggest that a slimmer version may be added to the Galaxy S25 lineup this year. Now, responding to the iPhone 17 Slim rumors, this model with the "SM-S937U" model number has started appearing in certification lists.
For those unaware, Samsung continues to update its model lineup, including FE, SE, and Slim variants. Galaxy S25 Slim, a frequent subject of leaks, has now been listed in the GSMA IMEI database. The SM-S937U model numberindicates a U.S. release and aligns with Galaxy S series model number conventions.
Details about the Galaxy S25 Slim are still limited, but the Slim label suggests it will be noticeably thinner than existing Galaxy flagships, potentially with some reduced features. On the other hand, Samsung is taking a more cautious approach than Apple by gathering user feedback, potentially intensifying the 'compact flagship' competition.
As you may know, the Galaxy S25 series will debut in January with the standard, Plus, and Ultra models, while the new model, possibly called Slim or Special Edition, is expected to launch in the second quarter of the year.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. As such, the Galaxy S25 series is likely to debut in January 2025. Currently, there is no information about the pricing for the S25 series.
