Twitter (X) becomes a rival to Youtube

Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter (X), he has changed a lot of things on the platform. The famous billionaire recently said that an X application containing long videos for televisions will come.

Since Elon Musk purchased Twitter (X) in October 2022 , he has changed many things on the platform and continues to do so. The famous billionaire made a quote from his DogeDesigner account and said that a special X application will come for long videos. Samsung TV and Amazon Fire TV users will be the first to get this X application.

Musk recently said that X will be a video-first platform. Elon Musk also stated that 8 out of 10 users who visit X watch videos.

The decision came after a negative report was shared for X. According to the Edison Research report, the usage rate of the site in 2024 decreased by 30 percent compared to 2023 . The social media platform plans to make changes to content creators and advertisers in order to increase its usage and popularity. Time will tell if X can attract content creators and compete with YouTube with long videos.
