Triple foldable phone is coming from Samsung

Continuing its preparations on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 models today, Samsung may come up with a surprise model this year. As it is known, the Korean giant applied for a patent for a smartphone that can be folded three times in 2021. Now new leaks show that this model is closer than expected.

Samsung Tri-Fold may debut in 2023

Reportedly, Samsung is working on a new "triple-foldable" device for 2023. If we recall, the Korean giant appeared with the Tri-Fold concept, which can be folded three times, at the CES 2023 Fair we left behind. However, it was unclear whether this design would turn into a final product. According to the shared information, Samsung Tri-Fold will appear with a double-hinged and three-piece design, similar to the concept showcased at CES. In addition, although the details of the device are still unclear, under the hood we may encounter the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy platform powering the Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung did not make any statement about the new leak. However, if confirmed, we can say that the Tri-Fold model will breathe new life into the foldable market. As a matter of fact, in the last few years, we have been encountering basically single-hinged foldable models.
