The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, has finally broken his silence.
It’s well-known that Apple is about two years behind in the AI sector, but Tim Cook doesn’t seem too concerned. While Apple has been working on AI under machine learning for at least a decade, the Apple Intelligence package still hasn’t reached users.
Cook stated that they are developing AI in the way they believe is best for users. He emphasized that delivering a product that truly adds value to people is far more important than being the first to announce something.
Cook’s favorite Apple Intelligence feature is email summaries. He claims that this feature has changed his life.
Apple Intelligence will be rolled out in the next few months in phases and across different countries. It will be available only when the device language is set to English. The first major release will be iOS 18.1.
