Tim Cook on AI: Apple wasn’t the first, but it will be the best!

Although Apple has fallen behind in the AI field, it introduced this technology to its devices rather late. In fact, Apple Intelligence is currently only available in English. Tim Cook has finally responded to the criticisms.

During the two major launches where Apple unveiled iOS 18 and iPhone 16, the company mentioned Apple Intelligence features but has yet to release them. Additionally, AI features will be rolled out gradually with periodic updates. Despite already lagging behind in the AI space, Apple has faced even more criticism with this roadmap. The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, has finally broken his silence.

Cook: Every detail matters, making it great takes time

It’s well-known that Apple is about two years behind in the AI sector, but Tim Cook doesn’t seem too concerned. While Apple has been working on AI under machine learning for at least a decade, the Apple Intelligence package still hasn’t reached users.

Cook stated that they are developing AI in the way they believe is best for users. He emphasized that delivering a product that truly adds value to people is far more important than being the first to announce something.

Cook: Apple Intelligence summaries changed my life

Cook’s favorite Apple Intelligence feature is email summaries. He claims that this feature has changed his life.

Coming with iOS 18.1

Apple Intelligence will be rolled out in the next few months in phases and across different countries. It will be available only when the device language is set to English. The first major release will be iOS 18.1.
