Tim Cook Announces: Apple Intelligence Will Be Free

Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a recent interview, dismissed claims that the company is lagging in artificial intelligence. He likened Apple Intelligence to the "smartphone revolution" and confirmed that the technology would remain free of charge.

Speaking with Wired, Cook emphasized that Apple had started integrating Neural Engine technology into its products as early as 2017, countering accusations of falling behind in AI development.

Apple Intelligence will be entirely free

In his statement, Cook remarked:
"We see this as similar to multitouch – a technology that made smartphones and modern tablets possible. Apple Intelligence represents a new era for our products."

Currently, Apple Intelligence is available for free on devices like the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 series, and M-series chip-equipped iPads and Macs. The company has pledged to enhance the platform further with future updates to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

However, earlier reports suggested that certain Apple Intelligence features might become paid after 2027. While Tim Cook dismissed these claims, he stopped short of guaranteeing that the platform would remain completely free forever.
