The soon-to-be-released Xiaomi 15 series will feature an OLED panel that offers higher brightness and better color reproduction. TCL’s new panel, Huaxing C9, is expected to be used in the series for the first time.
According to industry sources, TCL has achieved better color reproduction and higher brightness levels with the Huaxing C9 luminous material. Although TCL has not officially announced the first customer for the C9 display panel, considering that Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 14 series were released with TCL C7 and C8 panels, it is likely that the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first to offer the new C9 panels.
According to previous rumors, the displays of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will have resolutions of 1.5K and 2K respectively, similar to last year. Additionally, both models are expected to come with similar screen sizes to their predecessors, offering sharp and vivid visual experiences with 460ppi and 520ppi pixel densities.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Xiaomi 15 series will offer extensive upgrades, including a larger main camera sensor, telephoto macro, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, glass body, silicon anode batteries, wireless fast charging, and IP68 certification. The phones are expected to be unveiled on October 23rd.
