Galaxy S25 series now features AI-powered cameras
Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 models during the Galaxy Unpacked event. One of the standout features of this series is the cameras enhanced with artificial intelligence (AI).
The Galaxy S25 Ultra takes a bold step in camera performance by upgrading its ultra-wide lens from 12 MP to 50 MP. The Ultra model boasts a robust camera system with 200 MP wide-angle, 50 MP ultra-wide, 10 MP 3x telephoto, and 50 MP 5x telephoto lenses.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ models come with more modest camera setups. Both are equipped with 50 MP wide-angle , 12 MP ultra-wide, and 10 MP 3x telephoto lenses. The front cameras feature a 12 MP resolution with 4K 60 fps video recording.
AI-enhanced cameras for improved low-light performance
Powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, the series introduces the "spatial-temporal filter" technology, which optimizes noise reduction by accurately detecting moving and static objects.
Samsung also finally added the Galaxy Log feature, which expands the dynamic range for professional-grade color grading. The series supports 10-bit HDR video recording, enabling more vivid and detailed visuals.
Additional features include Virtual Aperture and Audio Eraser. Virtual Aperture uses algorithms to simulate aperture changes without any physical lens modifications, while Audio Eraser reduces background noise during video recording with AI. The Portrait Studio now offers more realistic facial expressions and customizable avatars.
