This year, Samsung introduced WiFi 7 support only with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but in 2025, the entire Galaxy S25 series will adopt this cutting-edge wireless technology.
The upcoming series, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, has already received FCC certification, confirming WiFi 7 support for all three models. Next year, these devices promise faster and more reliable WiFi connectivity , provided you have a compatible WiFi 7 router.
Currently, only the Galaxy S24 Ultra supports WiFi 7. Other models in the lineup, such as the standard Galaxy S24, larger S24+, and budget-friendly S24 FE, are equipped with WiFi 6E. This limitation is due to the Exynos 2400/2400e chip , which does not support WiFi 7.
Other WiFi-enabled Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, include WiFi 7. Interestingly, despite using the same Snapdragon chip as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 lack WiFi 7 support. Samsung has not explained this discrepancy.
It appears that WiFi 7 will become a standard feature in all Samsung flagship phones by 2025. However, according to FCC documents , Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support will be limited to the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, hinting at slight variations in connectivity features.
