Samsung warns: Accessories can damage the Galaxy S23

Announcing the new flagship Galaxy S23 series last February, Samsung has issued a warning about third-party or uncertified accessories used on phones. The technology giant claims that such accessories can damage the Galaxy S23 models, especially the rear camera glass.

As you know, the increase in smartphone prices today causes users to turn to various cases or screen protectors to protect their devices. At this point, Samsung explained with examples the damages that third-party accessories can cause, especially in the Galaxy S23 series. In the warning published via SamMobile, we see that the most striking accessory is the camera lens protectors, which are preferred by many users today. In the statement, Samsung emphasizes that unapproved camera protectors can negatively affect image quality in addition to problems such as scratches, moisture and dust accumulation.

In the image at the bottom of the photo, the Korean giant states that protective cases and glass protectors can cause problems with the microphone and sound transmission. It should be noted that the warnings on the support page are not only valid for the Galaxy S23 series. As a matter of fact, similar problems can be experienced in many current smartphones. For this reason, we recommend that users choose a well-known or well-evaluated brand when choosing accessories.
