To date, Samsung has included Exynos and Snapdragon processors in its mainstream Galaxy S series models. However, the efficiency and performance problems experienced in Exynos processors caused this decision to change in the Galaxy S23 family. A new leak shared today has revealed that the Galaxy S24 series may also come with Snapdragon processors only.
Snapdragon processors will be preferred in the Galaxy S24 series
As it is known, the Galaxy S23 family will be powered by a special version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that offers higher clock speeds. However, it is reported that Samsung has named the chipset powering the Galaxy S23 series as "Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform For Galaxy" and will maintain this preference in high-end devices until Exynos processors catch up with their Snapdragon counterparts. Recently, Samsung formed a new development team after unsuccessful results in Exynos processors. The first processor to be produced by the new team is expected to power the Galaxy S25 series in 2025. Therefore, we can say that the newly shared leaks have a share of truth.
It looks like the South Korean giant will continue to use higher clocked Snapdragon versions until the new chipset is ready.
