Samsung Galaxy S23 main camera revealed

Official component introductions have started slowly for Samsung's new flagship Galaxy S23, which has now been introduced for a short time. First, the possible sensor to be used on the camera side was revealed. Announced as Samsung ISOCELL HP2, the new 200MP resolution sensor is in 1/1.3 optical format and has a pixel size of 0.6 millimeters. Thus, there is no significant protrusion on the camera island. Thanks to Tetra2pixel technology, more detailed images can be obtained in 50MP or 12.5MP resolution. For 8K videos, the sensor switches to 50MP mode, minimizing clipping and creating cinematic videos.

It is stated that the Samsung ISOCELL HP2 sensor has started volume production, but it has not been officially announced on which phone it will be used yet. Previously, the information on the agenda showed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra model would use a new 200MP sensor. Even photo sizes can go up to 40MB. In this regard, ISOCELL HP2 is the closest candidate.
